Travel Guide: Ottawa

Travel Guide: Ottawa - The CC Edit by Christina CraveroHey babes! A few weeks ago my blogger bestie, Alex & I travelled to Ottawa to explore around! We both have never toured around Ottawa and it was a great place to visit for a short weekend road trip.

This short roadie was probably one of the best I’ve had with a friend in a long time! We were lucky enough to team up with Acura Canada and drive an Acura RDX, which was CRAZY insanely good on gas {we’re talking not even a full tank was used}, very spacious for all our luggage and of course smooth to drive.

When we arrived we quickly checked into the Novotel and hit the ground running.  We were very interested in checking out the Nature Nocturne at the Museum of Nature, which happens on the last Friday of every month.  I never though that exploring a museum at night with a DJ playing amazing music would ever be so much fun! It would be definitely something I would attend again.

On Saturday we decided to shoot some blog photos and wander around the Byward Market.  Byward Market is a historic area full of restaurants, bars, eclectic shops and boutiques. You can also find an outdoor market full of fresh flowers, fruits & veggies! It was so beautiful out that we couldn’t resist to sit on a patio drink sangria and of course eat a Beavertail.

You can’t go to Canada’s capital without visiting Parliament Hill! This famous landmark is where federal work is done. You can either take a snapshot or a selfie in front of it OR you can have a tour.  Every morning in the summer between late June to late August they will have a changing of the guard ceremony similar to the one in London, UK.

Ottawa is a must see. It’s quaint and has a mix of Toronto & Montreal, which are two of my favourite Canadian cities, all blended into one.
